Jessica Karen Szohr born March 31, 1985 is an American actress. She is best known for playing Vanessa Abrams on the CW series Gossip Girl.Szohr was born in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin as the oldest of five children. She is of Hungarian and African American descent. She started modeling at age six and her first national campaign was for Quaker Oats at age ten, and tapped to do print ads for Kohl’s department store.She later graduated from Menomonee Falls High School, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
